Song Writing Class
The Song Writing Class is a great way to get those award winning songs out of your head and into a workable demo! The teacher Daniel Gee has been playing music for 20 years, writing songs for 10 and has studied Sound Engineering at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts – He’ll coach you one on one on a step by step process to making your song idea a reality!
Amongst other things, you’ll learn:

Audio Technology Class
A great addition to the Song Writing Class, the Audio Technology Class will teach you the fundamentals of recording sound on the award winning ProTools software. Whether you want to record your or another band’s demos, cut together beats or just edit sound you’ve recorded out in the field, this course will teach you the practical component of audio recording!
In this course you will learn:

Fundamentals of Sound Engineering – Proper gain structure/ correct procedure for recording

How to use ProTools – Editing, Mixing

Use of outboard gear/plugins

Mic choice/placement

Production of songs

Mastering and burning a final copy

About the Teacher:
Daniel Gee has been a musician all his life – from the age of 5 he has played piano, and throughout the years has expanded his instrument repertoire to vocals, guitar and drums. He studied Sound engineering at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and has composed and produced a wide range of songs and soundscapes from everything from short films to hip hop backing tracks to orchestral scores! He loves a challenge, so if you have a song idea, he’d love to work with you to make it a reality! |
