Buying

Do you offer a warranty on pre-loved gear?

Yes, we offer a full 90 days on all purchases. If you have an issue after this time, please get in touch. We may be able to offer a repair at low cost to help get your purchase up and running again.

Can I return the item if I change my mind?

Unfortunately all sales are final. This is why we encourage coming into one of our stores to inspect before buying. If that’s not a possibility, you can always ask our helpful crew to send further pictures or for extra details at sales@megamusic.net.au

Can I layby pre-loved items?

Yes, all laybys require a 20% deposit. Layby orders must be completed within 4 weeks. If you wish to extend this, please get in touch and we will try to make further arrangements.

My purchase doesn’t seem to be as described. What can I do?

If you feel we missed something in the description we are happy to assess. Just contact us at sales@megamusic.net.au and our team will look into it for you.

Can I sell my purchase back?

Yes, although you will find you will get back less than you paid for it. Also, depending on the current market environment, the value may have diminished.

Selling

Do you buy anything?

Almost! As long as they are musical-instrument-related, of course. We buy everything from guitars to turntables and PA speakers to brass instruments. If in doubt, just email us at sales@megamusic.net.au

Can I sell an item that is not functional?

Maybe. If it’s worth us repairing and selling it, we could still be interested. Just fill out the Submit Your Gear form.

How long until I get paid?

We endeavor to have payment on its way to you within 48 hours. You will receive a receipt of sale as soon as we decide to purchase. This is our commitment to buying your goods and means the process of payment has begun.

What do I need to provide to be able to sell?

We require 100 points of I.D.

How do you evaluate goods?

We evaluate goods based on many factors. These include, but are not limited to, the market value on other second-hand platforms, value of the goods to the business (for example, current stock holding, space and buying patterns, etc), condition of goods and desirability to our customers.

I came to the store but was unable to get an evaluation. What do I do next?

The best way to get an evaluation is to submit a request. While we can do this in-store, it is often busy and you could end up waiting quite some time. Using the online form is a much faster way to get an estimate of what we will offer and decide if you would like to proceed.
