More Sounds, More Versatility

Picking up right where the first generation left off, the stage-class Katana MkII Series is designed around the same fundamental tones and features that made the series a worldwide phenomenon. If you loved the original Katana amplifiers, MkII is certain to impress - and for those new to the Katana world, prepare to experience flexibility, feel, and tone that outperforms anything in it's class.

Five Amp Characters, Ten Overall Tones

Offering everything from classic vintage tones to blistering modern high-gain, as well as a voice designed specifically for acoustic-electric guitars, Katana's five onboard primary amp characters have now been expanded with freshly voiced variations, giving you access to a plethora of potential tones to find your signature tone.

Five Effects at Once

Featuring five simultaneous effects categories, Katana MkII boasts the tone-shaping power of a comprehensive stompbox rig - right inside your amplifier. With three factory variations of independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb sections, you get 15 ready-to-play effects to discover. Dive even deeper by connecting to BOSS Tone Studio, and customize the sections with more than 60 distinct effect types, change the order with four chain options, and beyond!

Full-Throttle Sound Every Time you Plug In

Thanks to BOSS's Tube Logic technology, Katana MkII delivers the authentic output distortion behavior of true tube amplifiers, with the sound and feel becoming more lush and reactive to your playing as you increase the volume. Unlike traditional tube amplifiers, Katana MkII's variable Power Control lets you effortlessly find the sweet spot without hassle - simply dial back the overall volume to find the perfect blend of that inviting cranked amp sound and ear-friendly volume.

Amplify your External Gear

Not only is Katana MkII a workhorse standalone combo amplifier, it can also function as a powered cabinet to accommodate your favourite preamps, modelers, or multi-effects processors. By plugging into the Power Amp In jack located on the rear-panel, Katana MkII's preamp and effects are bypassed, so you can tap straight into the Tube Logic power section. With BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be optimized to suit your exact setup with a high-pass filter and adjustable gain.

One-Touch Recall of Custom Setups

Once you've found the perfect sound with the panel controls, simply save it to the desired memory with the quick hold of a button. Get access to four Tone Settings (two banks of two), with instant selection right from the panel. You can even connect external footswitches for expanded remote control of your rig.

Stereo Made Easy

One Katana MkII sounds fantastic - but what about two? With the new Stereo Expand feature, you're able to effortlessly link two amps with a single regular cable. This gives you wide control over everything from the main Katana, which distributes stereo effects like chorus, delay, reverb, and more across both amps for a wide and immersive stereo image.

Ready-to-Mix Direct Tones

With USB and Phones/Recording outputs featuring mic'd cabinet emulation, Katana-50 MkII lets you send mix-ready amp sounds right to a recording interface, mixing desk, or front of house setup. With five unique Air Feel settings accessible via BOSS Tone Studio, the direct sound can be shaped to your liking. Thanks to the integrated two-channel USB compatibility, you can even record in true stereo using Katana's featured modulation, EQ, delay, and reverb effects.

BOSS Tone Studio Enhancements

With an updated user interface, and a host of parameters consolidated into the main screen, BOSS Tone Studio has grown as the Katana MkII has. With a dedicated Pedal FX category, it's never been easier to assign wah and pedal bend effects to a connected expression pedal.
