Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop have teamed up once again to create the Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird V – an authentic replica of the guitar designed by legendary automotive designer Ray Dietrich. Introduced in 1963, the Firebird was Gibson’s first neck-through body model, and went on to be used by players in a wide range of genres, including blues legend Johnny Winter, Keith Richards and Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, to name a few.

The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird V offers vintage Firebird specs, including a 9-ply neck-through body, at an affordable price. Mahogany and walnut, mahogany body wings on both sides. Kluson® planetary gear "banjo" tuners secure the strings to the headstock, and an Epiphone ABR bridge provides support and a redesigned Maestro™ Vibrola™ engraved with the Epiphone logo keeps the other end secure. The electronics are also top-notch, including Gibson USA Firebird Mini Humbucker™ pickups with Alnico 5 magnets, CTS® potentiometers, and Mallory™ capacitors, as well as a Switchcraft® 3-way pickup selector and 1/4-inch output jack. This remarkable replica not only has the look but also the classic Firebird V sound. An Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom hardshell case is also included.
