The Vintage P-Bass pickup encapsulates everything players love about that unique tone, having just the right balance of authoritative punch and clear articulation for an authentic P-Bass feel. Seymour Duncan's Vintage P-Bass pickups use hand-crafted Alnico-5 bar magnets and vintage coil windings to give you the rich, smooth tone of a Precision Bass from the late '50s. This pickup is a retrofit replacement for the American Standard Precision Bass. Since 1978, Seymour Duncan have handcrafted all of their vintage Fender-style pickups with period-accurate hand-ground alnico 5-bar magnets in the the correct color and thickness of Forbon flatwork. Each pickup comes with waxed and tinned cloth pushback connection wiring. Just like in the golden age of Fender, the flatwork, coil assembly and paint is all done by hand.
